Curriculum Programs

The Associates in Arts Degree program prepares students to transfer courses or the degree in its entirety to a four-year senior institution. This program is designed for students who wish to earn a baccalaureate degree in liberal arts discipline not addressed by the pre-majors described elsewhere in the catalog.

The Associates in Fine Arts Degree program prepares students to transfer courses or the degree in its entirety to a four-year senior institution. This program is designed for students who wish to earn a baccalaureate degree in a fine arts discipline.

Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) programs are designed to provide entry-level employment training in technical areas. A.A.S. programs range from 66 to 76 semester credit hours. A full-time student can typically complete one of these programs in two years.

Diploma programs are designed to provide entry-level employment training. Diploma programs range from 37 to 48 semester credit hours and can usually be completed by a full-time student within two semesters and one summer session. Associate degree level courses within a diploma program may also be applied toward an A.A.S. degree program.

Certificate programs are designed to provide short-term focused entry-level employment training. Certificate programs range from 12 to 24 semester credit hours and can usually be completed within one to four semesters. Certificate courses may also be applied toward a related diploma or A.A.S. degree program.

For courses marked with an asterisk ( * ) specific admission procedures are required for entry into these programs. Many of the limited enrollment programs may have additional admission procedures or deadlines. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
