The Surgical Technology curriculum prepares individuals to assist in the delivery of surgical patient care. The operating room will give you the opportunity to work as a member of a professional surgical team. As a surgical technologist you are always using the newest technology to enhance surgical patient care. The operating room is a unique and exciting place to work!

Course work includes instruction in general studies, anatomy & physiology, microbiology, surgical technology courses, and clinical practice. A combination of theory, laboratory, and clinical experiences prepare students for an entry-level surgical technology position.

Upon graduation, students will have the necessary cognitive, psychomotor, and professional knowledge to be successful. Graduates are eligible to take the National Surgical Technology Certificate Exam. Career opportunities for graduates include, but are not limited to, hospital main operating room, physician's office, central sterile department, and medical salesperson.
