Child Care is a state funded program that provides financial assistance for childcare for students who are enrolled in a curriculum program at Coastal Carolina Community College. To apply, students must complete a Child Care Program application. Funding is limited and selection is based on need.

The Golden LEAF Scholars Program – Two-Year Colleges will provide grants of up to $2,250 annually for curriculum students and up to $1,850 annually for workforce continuing education students.
The scholarships help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, transportation, childcare and other components of the total cost of attendance for 2024-2025 fall, spring, and summer semesters.

North Carolina Community Colleges Golden LEAF Community College Scholarship 2024-2025 Student Application
Eligibility for Golden LEAF requires students to complete the Residency Determination Service (RDS) and have an in-state determination for qualifying Golden LEAF county.

- Participant must be a full-time returning student or incoming freshman seeking an Associate in Fine Arts degree in Music at Coastal Carolina Community College.
- Eligible instruments include voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and classical guitar.
- Winners must take classes toward completion of the degree in the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

Criteria A student is eligible to receive the scholarship for an academic year at the institution where the student is enrolled, or admitted for enrollment, determines that the student meets the following requirements:
- Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Demonstrates need based on the FAFSA.
- Qualifies as a NC resident for tuition purposes in accordance with the coordinated and centralized residency determination process administered by the Authority, at the time of enrollment at the college.
- Is in a Matriculated Status as an undergraduate student at the college.
- Has complied with the registration requirements of the Military Selective Service Act or is exemptfrom the registration requirements.
- Is eligible to receive financial assistance under the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.
- Is not in default under any State loan or grant program.
- Must meet satisfactory academic progress standards as determined by the college.
- Meets any other enrollment standards jointly established by the President of the University of North
Carolina and the President of the North Carolina Community College System President.
Limitation on Eligibility:
- An eligible student may not receive the NC Scholarship or a scholarship or grant from any combination of the other State Funded Need-Based Financial Aid Programs for more than ten (10) full-time semesters, or the equivalent if enrolled part-time, or if the student is enrolled in a program officially designated by the postsecondary institution as a five-year degree program, twelve (12) fulltime academic semesters, or the equivalent if enrolled part-time , unless the institution has granted the student a waiver for up to one additional equivalent full-time academic semester.
- While matriculating at a community college, an eligible student may not receive a scholarship for more than six (6) full-time academic semesters, or the equivalent if enrolled part-time, unless the student has been granted a waiver for up to one additional equivalent full-time academic semester.

North Carolina Tuition Assistance Program (NCTAP)
The North Carolina Tuition Assistance Program (NCTAP) is a reimbursement tuition assistance program for actively drilling Army and Air Guard members of North Carolina.

The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate and certain post baccalaureate students to promote access to postsecondary education. Students may use their grants at any one of approximately 5,400 participating postsecondary institutions. Grant amounts are dependent on: the student's expected family contribution (EFC) (see below), the cost of attendance (as determined by the institution), the student's enrollment status (full-time or part-time), and whether the student attends for a full academic year or less.

WIOA is a federally-funded program for low income adults and dislocated workers enrolled or wishing to enroll in occupational training through Curriculum or Continuing Education. These funds may assist with registration fees, books, tools, required supplies, and childcare.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and a US citizen or eligible non-citizen. To apply, students must complete a WIOA application, assessment tests, and provide eligibility verification.
