Dental Department

There are two Dental programs offered at Coastal Carolina Community College: Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting.

The Dental Department strives to provide opportunities for Dental students to discover their talents and abilities and to achieve individual excellence.  The programs provide an environment to support lifelong learning and to develop skills and attitudes that foster the team concept, thus helping students meet the changing needs of today's world.

Dental Information Sessions

Applicants interested in applying to these programs must attend one of the following sessions listed below before submitting an Eligibility Application with any Academic Counselor.

Note: Students interested in applying for the 2025 Dental Assisting program must attend a separate Dental Assisting Information Session.

• All sessions will begin on time.  No one will be admitted once a session begins.
• All sessions will be approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
• All sessions will be held in the A.D. Guy Business Technology Building in room 101 unless otherwise stated.
• Children are not permitted into the information sessions.
• It is the applicant’s responsibility to be prompt.

Information Sessions

• All applicants must attend an information session either on campus or online.
• Applicants who previously applied must complete the information session again.
  • There is no waiting list or waiver for previous applicants.

Online Information Sessions

To receive credit for attendance, you must view the session all the way through.

Applicants who view the Virtual Information Session must complete the Survey Monkey quiz with a grade of 80% or higher to meet the eligibility requirement of attending an Information Session. If an applicant does not take the quiz or score an 80% or higher, they will not meet the requirement.

Online Dental Hygiene information sessions opened September 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. and will close January 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
