General Information
Coastal Carolina Community College (Coastal) has successfully offered customized Continuing Education foreign language and culture classes to over 5,000 military personnel and to a number of civilian students during the past 20 years.

Delivery Methods
Seated classes are available in the above languages.
* Online classes are available for Beginner French, Beginner Spanish, and Spanish Sustainment.
Instructors
Coastal’s CE foreign language instructors are generally native speakers who are trained by the CE Foreign Language Training Specialist on best practice foreign language teaching methods.
Textbook
Textbooks are available at the College Store.
Prerequisite Placement Testing
To get an approximation of at what language proficiency level a student may be performing, students may take a free online assessment.
Course Lengths
Classes may be customized to run from 48 – 250 hours of training.

The insurance fee is waived if the U.S. Government is paying.
Should foreign language training be needed but minimum enrollment requirements cannot be met, then a separate higher set of fees is available. Please contact nielsenk@coastalcarolina.edu for that fee schedule.
