Medication Aide Course. A Medication Aide is an individual who has successfully completed the Medication Aide class provided by the NC Board of Nursing and passed the state approved Medication Aide registry. The scope of practice is limited to the technical aspects of medication administration. Medication Aides practice in long term care/skilled nursing facilities. This is a 24 hour class where students will receive instruction on policies and procedures for safely administering medications in long term care/skilled nursing facilities. This is an interactive class with opportunity to practice the skills that you learn. Pre-Requisites: High School diploma or equivalent. Current listing on the NAI registry.
